The Prime Minister said he was «annoyed» by such things. when the bed is left unmade, he leaves his office. to do this, return to the flat at 10 Downing Street.
He also expressed disappointment that his children did not walk their dogs and admitted that he offered them snacks to encourage them to help around the house.< /p>
Mr Sunak was interviewed by Grazia magazine alongside his wife. , Akshata Murthy, will answer questions about family life ahead of International Women's Day on Friday.
When asked what kind of housework he liked best, Mr Sunak replied: “Tough choice… put the dishes in the dishwasher, make the bed? Both have good, satisfying endings. Probably a bed.”
He added: “It annoys me, so sometimes I go back to the flat from the office after we've all left and make the bed because it annoys me. not done.”
Ms. Murthy then called it “one of her special skills,” adding: “Rishi likes it to be done nicely and neatly.”
She admitted that her husband was better at loading the dishwasher, adding that she had been given an «A for enthusiasm» when the Prime Minister interrupted her: «But then it needs a redo after you show a lot of enthusiasm.»
He told her: “This creates more work. And as a result, even more is thrown away!
Mr Sunak said his least favorite job was taking out the rubbish, calling it a «pain.»
During Theresa May's time as Prime Minister minister, her husband Philip had to take out the trash — a household chore she once called «a boy's job.»
The former leader was criticized for her comments during a joint interview about their life together in No 10 after she said there were «jobs for boys and girls» in the house.

Mr May joked during an interview with the BBC One Show: “In every marriage there is no compromise. I decide when to take out the trash cans, not me who takes them out.”
The then prime minister replied: “You see there are jobs for boys and girls.”
Mr May added: “I definitely do the bin removal, I do a traditional man's job overall.”< /p>
Mr Sunak and his wife were also asked how much their two 12-year-old daughters were worth. old Krishna and 11-year-old Anushka help around the house.
Ms Murthy admitted «they do some things but they could do more» and Mr Sunak added: «It would be nice , if they walked the dog they wanted to get.”
The family have had a pet labrador, Nova, since 2021, when they lived at No. 11 while Mr Sunak was chancellor.

The couple also have different approaches to rewarding their children for housework.
Ms Murthy said she did not believe in «encouraging children» to do housework because «we are a family, we all have to work together, we all help each other.» She added: «No, we don't give them obvious incentives, say Rish?»
Mr Sunak then laughed and added: «I give them snacks.»
He also said that he was a «stricter» parent in matters other than schoolwork.
His wife praised the Prime Minister for being a «better cook» in relationships, although he does less due to a lack of free time time.
Mr Sunak said: «On a Saturday morning it's basically just breakfast — Gordon Ramsay's scrambled eggs.»
He also said Ms Murthy reads more than He. , as he instead prefers to watch reruns of the 1990s sitcom Friends when he gets home from work.
“I'm too tired when I get home at the end of each day, so I watch an episode of Friends and then go sleep. It never gets old,” he said.
“We've watched the same episodes of Friends I don't know how many times,” Ms. Murthy added.
