PERM , March 19The court arrested until May 17 the head of Perm correctional colony No. 37, Ilya Aslamov, in the case of attempted bribery, an informed source said.
The regional investigative committee reported on Tuesday that criminal cases have been initiated against the head of Perm colony No. 37 and his intermediary under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph “c” of Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted bribery on a large scale) and Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph «b» of part 3 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted mediation in bribery on a large scale).
“A preventive measure was chosen for him (Aslamov – ed.) in the form of detention until May 17,” the source said.
The Sverdlovsk District Court explained that the second defendant, businessman Oleg Popov, was also arrested until May 17.
An earlier informed source reported the detention of the head of Perm colony No. 29, Dmitry Assanov. According to the regional Investigative Committee, a case has been opened against the man under the article of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.
Correctional colony No. 37 of the GUFSIN is located in the village of Polovinka in the Chusovsky district of the Perm Territory. At the beginning of March, a sewing workshop there was on fire.
IK-37 is designed for approximately 600 people. Open sources indicate that the institution has a strict regime and is intended to house former employees of courts and law enforcement agencies; Aslamov has been in charge since June 1, 2021.
