A Muscovite was deceived by scammers out of 5 million rubles due to an optical illusion with a horse
A Muscovite came across an advertisement for optical illusion scams about a horse and transferred them five million rubles. This was reported by the Baza Telegram channel.
As it became known, in November 2023, the man was looking for an organization where he could invest his accumulated funds. On one of the sites he saw an advertisement with a herd of horses and the inscription: “If you see a horse that is running in the opposite direction in relation to other horses, then you need to contact us.” The man found the horse and wrote to the specified number.
After some time, he received a call from a certain woman who introduced herself as a financial consultant. She asked a Muscovite where he would like to invest money and for what purpose. Then she suggested that he invest in an electronic exchange or cryptocurrency. The man liked this idea, and the “consultant” opened an account for him with one condition: first he had to transfer money to the cards of other clients, so that they would then send it to his electronic account.
The man began to fulfill the condition and transfer to different accounts hundreds of thousands. When there were 93 thousand dollars left on his balance, the woman said that the funds could be withdrawn. A few days later, another woman called the Muscovite and said that in order to withdraw 25 thousand dollars, he needed to make a deposit of 2.5 million. This again had to be done using the cards of different people. After some time, another payment was required. At that moment, the man realized that he had fallen for the scammers. He contacted the police.
