The new modification received the corresponding attributes, but at the same time the ground clearance of this four-door was increased. There are also new things in the interior.
Toyota Crown is now a separate family, it includes a sedan with a “crossover” image, a classic four-door (it is the only one based on a rear-wheel drive platform) and a pair of SUVs. The first-born was that same cross-sedan; in Japan, its sales started in 2022, and now the car of the new model year is presented in its homeland. By the way, in the home market the full name of the four-door sounds like Toyota Crown Crossover.

The main thing is that the model now has an “off-road” Landscape version. This sedan has more massive plastic linings on the wheel arches, additional reflectors are built into the rear bumper, plus the new version gets large red mudguards, and roof rack crossbars are available for an additional fee. The Crown Crossover Landscape also has all-terrain tires. And the ground clearance has also been increased: according to a Japanese consumer site, this figure has increased by “about 25 mm.” Therefore, for the new version it is somewhere around 170 mm.

The interior of the “off-road” sedan is decorated in a dark color, the seats are upholstered in natural leather. In addition, only Landscape has a folding rear sedan backrest (60:40) — other versions have a hatch located in the middle. The list of new equipment also includes heated and ventilated front seats, a multimedia system, a head-up display, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, lane marking and blind spot monitoring systems.

Updates for other trim levels of the Toyota Crown Crossover: the palette of exterior colors and the number of interior trim options have been expanded, in addition simple versions received equipment that was previously found in more expensive sedans (for example, a head-up display).
In Japan, the four-door comes only as an all-wheel drive HEV hybrid (without the ability to charge from the mains), the model has two settings. The base one has a 2.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine, a pair of electric motors and an electromechanical variator, the total output is 234 hp. The second includes a 2.4 turbo engine and Direct Shift-6AT, total power – 349 hp. The “off-road” version is offered with a top-end system.
