YEKATERINBURG, April 11 The south of the Chelyabinsk region is emerging from the spring flood, reports the press service of the regional head office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“»In the southern regions of the Chelyabinsk region, water levels are declining. At the moment, 37 household plots in three settlements remain flooded: the village of Kizilskoye, the village of Paris, the village of Bazhova. There are no flooded residential buildings,» the message says.
It is noted that the flood situation in the region was complicated by large volumes of snow reserves and spring weather, when above-zero temperatures tended to reach 20 degrees. According to the forecasts of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 52 settlements, 12,453 people, and 3,587 residential buildings in the region could be in the flooding and inundation zone.
The peak of the flood in the southern regions of the region has passed, however, monitoring of the flood situation continues, as risks remain, the press service added.
