Seven helicopters equipped with night vision equipment and more than 500 rescuers, including mountaineering specialists, were called in to help the stranded passengers, and 112 people were rescued.

A group of 10 opposition lawmakers also headed to the scene to “investigate the incident in detail,” said Ozgur Ozel, chairman of the opposition Republican People's Party.
Turkish prosecutors opened an investigation and ordered detain 13 people in connection with this. Turkish Justice Minister Tunç Yılmaz, including representatives of the private company operating the cable car, spoke to reporters about this incident.
