MOSCOW, April 17 The Tagansky Court of Moscow fined the streaming service Twitch one million rubles for refusing to remove a video with information prohibited in Russia, the court reported.
«»By the resolution of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow, Twitch Interactive, Inc. was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 13.50 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Failure to fulfill obligations by the owner of a social network). The court imposed a penalty in the form of an administrative fine in the amount one million rubles,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The court imposed the same fine on Pinterest for committing a similar offense.
Protocols were drawn up for refusal to restrict access to videos that contain information prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation.
