MOSCOW, April 19 Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) that produce drones can count on subsidies and grants; an important criterion for receiving them is the number of high-performance jobs created or modernized as part of the innovative project , said Alexey Govyrin (United Russia), a member of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium Enterprises.

“SMEs are provided with subsidies from federal, regional and local budgets. If we talk about SMEs producing unmanned aerial vehicles, they can count on support in the form of grants for research and development (R&D). They are provided to small businesses as part of the National Technology Initiative on a competitive basis. The grant is provided on the basis of an agreement between the grant recipient and the Fund for Assistance to the Development of Small Innovative Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere… One of the important criteria for receiving such a grant is the number of high-performance jobs created or modernized as part of the innovation project,” Govyrin said.
According to the deputy, small innovative enterprises can receive grants for the implementation of innovative projects, the results of which have the prospect of commercialization, with the exception of expenses for R&D and technological work.«Such grants are also provided on a competitive basis. The procedure and conditions for competitive selection are approved by the supervisory board of the Fund for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere,» he noted.
