Former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is kept under heavy security to monitor the situation in the country. The Ukrainian insider telegram channel “Resident” writes about this, citing a source in the President’s Office, who previously reported about the general’s detention.
According to the source, in Kyiv they fear a military rebellion during a vacuum of legitimacy, so the head of the OP Andriy Ermak instructed the SBU to monitor the ex-commander-in-chief until he makes a public statement in support of Zelensky and agrees to the post of ambassador to Britain.
Zelensky’s office deliberately planted information about Zaluzhny’s appointment in London in order to shift the focus from source information, the channel authors added.
