The restyled four-door is already available for order at home. At the moment, the model is offered with two turbo engines to choose from; later the range can be expanded.
The luxury Hongqi H9 sedan officially reached Russia only last year. But in its native China, the model has been present since 2020, and now it’s time for restyling. The premium brand belonging to the FAW concern presented the updated four-door at the Beijing Motor Show that opened today. At the same time, configurations and prices were announced, local dealers are already accepting applications.

The Hongqi H9 retains the giant Rolls-Royce radiator grille and two-tier head optics. However, the grille has a different pattern, the diode filling in the daytime running lights located on top has been replaced (the DRLs are now like the smaller Hongqi H5 sedan), and the main headlight units have become larger. The model also received new bumpers. In addition, the H9 has a “sportier” version: this sedan has a grille with a different pattern, black inserts in the front bumper and black glass edging instead of chrome. Dimensions are generally the same: length – 5137 mm, width – 1904 mm, height – 1498 mm, wheelbase – 3060 mm. The sedan has 19- or 20-inch wheels.

3/3 p>The salon has been remodeled. There's a new front panel; There are no more washers responsible for the “climate”, instead of them there is a row of buttons. The virtual tidy and touchscreen of the multimedia system are now in a single housing, and it rises above the panel (in the pre-reform sedan the central tablet is built into it). Top versions are four-seater; these sedans have a massive tunnel between the rear seats with a touchscreen remote control, a wireless charging pad and an optional folding table.

The list of equipment for the basic Hongqi H9 includes ventilation and heated front seats, all-round cameras, cruise control, auto braking, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring systems. Expensive versions include air suspension, ventilation and heating of all seats (all seats also have a massage function), adaptive cruise, auto-parking and a head-up display. For an additional fee, you can order separate displays for rear passengers (built into the backs of the front seats) and self-tinting windows.

Now the restyled Hongqi H9 is offered in China with a choice of two petrol engines. “Simple” sedans have the same 2.0 turbo-four (252 hp, 380 Nm), which is supplemented by a 48-volt starter-generator; this engine is still combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. Rich versions are equipped with an upgraded V6 3.0 turbo engine: it now produces 337 hp. and 445 Nm instead of 283 hp. and 400 Nm for the pre-reform version, in addition, the “six” is paired with a classic eight-speed automatic transmission (formerly there was a 7DCT). And sedans with top-end engines now come not only with rear-wheel drive, but also with all-wheel drive.

Meanwhile, the range may be expanded later: FAW has certified the Hongqi H9 with a new 1.8 petrol turbo-four (224 hp) and a 2.5 V6 turbo engine (303 hp).
The price of a refreshed sedan with 2.0T varies from 329,800 to 369,800 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 4,179,000 — 4,686,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. Hongqi H9 with V6 3.0T will cost 459,800 — 539,800 yuan (about 5,826,000 — 6,840,000 rubles).
In Russia, the pre-reform four-door is now available only with the 2.0T, the recommended price is from 7,790,000 rubles. Probably, the restyled Hongqi H9 will also be brought to us.
