The model of the Chinese brand in the Russian Federation will be offered with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive in three trim levels. Live sales will begin in the middle of next month.

The Russian model line has been replenished with another new product – the brutal H3 crossover. This car is presented on the home market under the name Haval KuGou, which can be translated as Cool Dog or “Cool Dog”. Let us remind you that this is a “relative” of DaGou (that is, Big Dog or “Big Dog”), which is sold in the Russian Federation as Dargo. In China, KuGou reached dealers in the summer of 2022, and from May 15 of this year, the model will be available to Russians. At the same time, the cars will be sold at dealerships of the new Haval Pro network, which features crossovers and off-road SUVs. Note that the Jolion, Dargo, M6, F7 and F7x models remained in the previous dealer network, which was called Haval City.

The Chinese crossover in the Russian Federation will be offered with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, in Premium and Tech+ trim levels. The starting price of the front-wheel drive version of the Haval H3 is 2,599,000 rubles, and the price of the 4×4 version is no less than 3,099,000 rubles.

The list of visual features of the Haval H3 includes a massive radiator grille, which received a pattern made up of two rows of large silver vertical brackets. On the sides there are round LED headlights with an unusual pattern. The crossover also received a body kit made of unpainted plastic around the perimeter of the body, including “squared” linings on the wheel arches.

The SUV, new to the Russian market, has an embossed hood, black roof rails, conventional exterior mirrors with turn signal repeaters and traditional door handles. The Haval H3 was equipped with 18-inch wheels, a spoiler and a decorative trim on the tailgate, as well as large vertical lights.

The local Haval representative spoke about the dimensions of the crossover: its length is 4520 mm, width – 1875 mm, and height – 1745 mm; the distance between the axles is 2710 mm. The ground clearance is 196 mm, the approach angle is 21 degrees, and the departure angle is 25 degrees. The H3 has MacPherson strut suspension at the front and an independent multi-link at the rear.

The SUV's seats are trimmed in black perforated eco-leather with contrasting inserts. The equipment of the Haval H3 includes: adaptive cruise control with speed limiter, lane keeping and return functions, smart evasion, “transparent hood”, a set of four cameras with all-round visibility, low-speed traffic assistant, blind spot monitoring, emergency assistant braking, a warning system for approaching vehicles while reversing, as well as six airbags.

The Haval H3 on the Russian market will be available with a petrol 1.5-liter turbo engine corresponding to the Euro eco-class 5. For the basic front-wheel drive version, its output is 143 hp, maximum torque is 210 Nm, for the all-wheel drive version it is 177 hp. and 270 Nm. The pair offers a non-alternative seven-speed robotic gearbox with two “wet” clutches.

Haval brand, owned by the Chinese concern Great Wall Motor is in demand on the Russian market: at the end of last year, it entered the top three brands with a result of 111,720 new cars sold, which is more than three times the figure for 2022.
