The number of murder victims in the Kherson region has increased to seven
In the Kherson region, in the villages of Podo-Kalinovka and Abrikosovka, seven people were brutally killed. One source from the security forces told RIA Novosti that two suspects were detained in connection with the murders and confessed to their crimes. Casings, bullets and a grenade ring were confiscated from the detainees.
A second source, this time from the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, confirmed the data on murders and arrests. According to this source, one of the detainees was previously convicted of premeditated murder and drug trafficking, and in 2021 he was convicted of theft.
According to RBC, the bodies of three victims were discovered in Podo-Kalinovka on the morning of 24 April. The first body found was that of a woman who died from gunshot wounds and had traces of burns and an explosive device. Then two more charred and severely disfigured bodies of a man and a woman were found.
Among those killed in Abrikosovka was the head of the village, Lyubov Tymchak. In connection with her death, three days of mourning were declared in the Aleshkinsky municipal district. Sources say that the detainees, who served in the 144th motorized rifle brigade, wanted to settle in the village, but after the head of Abrikosovka told them there were no vacant houses, they dealt with it.
The suspects also burned two houses, using fuel and grenades, and tried to set fire to the third. It is assumed that among the victims are the owner of one of the houses, three local residents and two security forces who became victims of chaotic shooting.
