Depending on the region, the “adventure” version comes with a 2.5 naturally aspirated engine or in the form of a hybrid with an installation based on a 1.5 turbocharger.
In general, the “off-road” modification appeared in the range of the current generation Nissan X-Trail crossover back in 2022: this version was initially available in the brand’s native Japan, where its name can be translated as Extremer X (or X-Tremer X). And at the beginning of April this year, a similar option was announced in Australia – already under the name N-Trek. At the same time, Kolesa.ru drew attention to the fact that the corporate pictures of the Australian division of Nissan depicted a left-hand drive SUV. We assumed that such an X-Trail would reach other countries. And they were right: now the “off-road” version of N-Trek is announced for Europe and the Middle East. Note that the “old world” special cross did not retain this name everywhere – for example, in Spain the new modification was called Adventure.

In terms of design, “adventure” crossovers intended for different markets generally repeat each other. Compared to the standard X-Trail, the N-Trek version has a more impressive front bumper with original housings for LED fog lights, and a protective “plate” is installed on the rear bumper.
In addition, the massive V-shaped insert on the radiator grille is black (it is chrome on the regular model). The exterior mirror housings and roof were also made black. But the door handles of the global Nissan X-Trail N-Trek are painted in body color, while on the Australian version they are also black. Finally, the “off-road” version received 18-inch wheels of a new design.
Inside there is upholstery made of water-repellent artificial leather, plus rubber mats are provided. The new version comes with a five- or seven-seater cabin.

As in Australia, in the countries of the Middle East the Nissan X-Trail N-Trek is available with a 2.5 naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine; in the local version, the engine produces 181 hp, and the model is equipped with all-wheel drive. For Europeans, the crossover is offered as a hybrid with a proprietary e-Power installation: a 1.5 VC-Turbo petrol turbo engine (163 hp) with a variable compression ratio is not connected to the wheels, it works as an electricity generator, and the wheels are rotated by an electric motor. The front-wheel drive hybrid has an electric motor producing 204 hp; the version with all-wheel drive e-4orce has an additional electric motor on the rear axle, the total output of the system is 213 hp.
European and Middle Eastern dealers will begin accepting orders for the Nissan X-Trail N-Trek in the summer, prices have not yet been announced.
