MOSCOW, April 22. On Tuesday, terrible news appeared on the official website of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) about the death of a representative of the Zarechye-Odintsovo beach volleyball team near Moscow, Arina Mikhailina. The girl was 21 years old.

As MK reported, the girl was found still alive on the evening of April 21 near the dormitory of the Moscow Energy Institute, where the athlete studied. However, the injuries received by Mikhailina turned out to be very serious, and doctors were unable to save the victim’s life.
A teammate of the deceased volleyball player Maria Khaletskaya, in a conversation with, confirmed the version of suicide:
“”The news is simply terrible. We are in complete shock. It is known for sure that it was suicide after a nervous breakdown.”
Zarechye-Odintsovo head coach Natalya Uryadova, in an interview with Gazeta.ru, revealed the reason why the girl could make up her mind to a terrible act. It turned out that on the day of the tragedy, Mikhailina broke up with her young man:

The ambulance arrived while she was still alive – they managed to rescue Arina, she went downstairs and spent some time in the ambulance. There are no complaints about the doctors who were on call. They are probably competent. It was psychological help that was needed there. It was necessary to call another team that would know how to behave. That is, they simply talked to her like a human being, gave her some tea – well, it seemed like that was all, the challenge was accepted, nothing terrible happened. It was impossible, of course, to leave her in this state. It was necessary to contact someone and wait for competent specialists.”

In Dagestan, the search for Anna Tsomartova, who disappeared in February after a Thai boxing tournament, has been ongoing for three months. The whereabouts of the athlete are still unknown.
The head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, Gayana Garieva, said that Anna lost in the competition and took it very hard. Without taking her phone or personal belongings with her, she threw on her jacket and headed towards the coast. A criminal case has been opened regarding the disappearance of the athlete.
