In July 2023, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) announced the admission of athletes from Russia and Belarus to international competitions in a neutral status from January 1, 2024. The President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, Irina Viner, later stated that she considers it impossible for Russian athletes to participate in the 2024 Games under the conditions dictated by international organizations.
