It is expected that another model of the French brand, designed in a retro style, will appear on the European market in 2025.
At the beginning of 2021, the French company presented a plan for the development of its brands for the next few years. The strategy assumed that the Renault brand would introduce several new electric vehicles by the end of 2025, one of them was the Renault 5 hatchback, which debuted in February of this year, and in 2025 the line should be replenished with the new compact crossover Renault 4.

The name of the future new product, like the “five”, is revived: the classic Renault 4, sold in France under the name Renault 4L – Quatrelle, appeared in 1961. The model lasted on the assembly line until 1994; in total, more than eight million copies were produced during this period.
Back in May 2021, a sample of the new Renault 4 close to production appeared in patent pictures. In October 2022, the 4Ever Trophy concept was presented, which the developers equipped with various off-road “chips” — from a massive body kit around the perimeter of the body to a roof rack and a shovel mounted on the stern.
There is no official information about the appearance of the serial electric crossover yet. The designer of the Spanish publication Motor.es offers his own version of the potential exterior of the future new product. Judging by the render, it is based on patent images that appeared on the Internet back in 2021.

It is assumed that the car will receive “squared” body shapes, corresponding massive linings on the wheel arches, a plastic body kit, traditional exterior mirrors, and recessed door handles. Judging by the image, the front part received a large air intake, as well as round headlights integrated into a horizontally elongated rectangular element, in the center of which is the brand logo in the form of a diamond with a number four inscribed in it.
Most likely, the interior of the future new product will be unified with the recently introduced Renault 5. In this case, the model will be equipped with a 10-inch virtual instrument panel and an infotainment system with a 10.1-inch diagonal touchscreen. In the retro-style interior, you will probably find physical buttons and a niche for wireless charging of smartphones.

It is expected that the commercial version of the Renault 4 will be based on The AmpR Small platform will form, which is a modernized version of the CMF-B “cart”. Probably, the new product will borrow some of the technology from the “five”: we are talking about electric motors, the output of which is 122 and 150 hp. According to preliminary data, the models will offer both batteries – with a capacity of 40 and 52 kWh. The range on one charge will be known later.
The premiere of the serial crossover Renault 4 will take place at the Paris Motor Show, which will be held in October this year, and the model will enter the European market in 2025. It is expected that the starting price of the new product will be about 30 thousand euros (equivalent to approximately 2.96 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
