The transformed Haval H6 crossover was declassified in mid-April, and the public premiere was held at the Beijing Motor Show, which opened at the end of the same month. Now, the brand owned by the Great Wall concern has begun the next stage of promoting the new product: fresh brand photos have been published, in addition, the SUV has acquired its own page on the local Haval consumer website, albeit without specifications yet.

Let us remind you that the brand considers such a crossover to be a new generation, that is, the fourth in a row. However, in reality we have before us the restyled “third” Haval H6, which appeared in 2020. Moreover, the SUV has not changed as expected. The fact is that in 2023 the brand itself announced a modernized “six”, and then it had a completely different “face” – in the style of the Haval Xiaolong and Xiaolong Max models. And even earlier, photographs of an SUV with a traditional body, but with a front end like the coupe-shaped version of the Haval H6S (the Haval H6 in China is a separate family) were added to the database of the Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China. So, the main feature of the appearance of the Haval H6, announced as the fourth generation, is a large radiator grille with plates instead of a mesh. The headlights have generally retained their shape, with vertical running lights now “attached” to them. But the rear lights are new, they are made separate. In addition, the bumpers were replaced. Compared to the pre-reform standard H6, the length has increased by 50 mm to 4703 mm, the wheelbase is the same 2738 mm.

Inside, there is a new steering wheel and a central tunnel (but it is still two-story). The Haval H6 also received a different multimedia system – with a 14.6-inch tablet instead of a 12.3-inch screen. There is no longer a separate row of physical keys responsible for climate control and other functions: all settings have been moved to the touchscreen. And the transmission is now controlled not by a washer, but by a steering column lever. The list of equipment also includes virtual instrumentation, heated and ventilated seats, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control.
Chinese specialized media write that, like the pre-reform Haval H6, the crossover with a new design will be available with two petrol turbo-four engines to choose from. According to preliminary information, the base 1.5T engine now produces 177 hp. (according to other sources, the power has not changed – 184 hp), it is still combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. And the output of the 2.0T engine has increased from 211 to 238 hp, plus this engine now has a new nine-speed “robot”. The model is equipped with all-wheel drive. Note that the pre-styling Haval H6 still has a hybrid version, but it will be updated later.

In China they are about to open orders for the updated SUV, but no prices yet. The pre-reform “third” Haval H6 now costs from 115,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 1,465,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. The “six” is not officially presented in Russia.
Meanwhile, the brand has not left our market without premieres: sales of the restyled Haval Jolion and the new Haval H3 crossover have already started in the Russian Federation, plus the Haval SUV is on the way H9 second generation.
