In a video commentary to the post, Galina Sharukho, head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, clarified that monitoring of the Irtysh and Tobolsk has been carried out “since yesterday.” Characterizing the situation with water quality on the rivers of the region as a whole, she noted that the Ishim River has seen a steady improvement in its quality, it basically meets the requirements, and clean water is being supplied to a number of settlements.
“All this allows us to maintain the sanitary and epidemiological situation. The level of infectious morbidity does not exceed the long-term average, there is no outbreak of morbidity,” Sharukho said.
According to the hydrological bulletin from the Telegram channel of the regional government information center, at 22.00 (20.00 Moscow time) on May 7, the water level in the Irtysh River in the city of Tobolsk reached 571 centimeters, having added 5 centimeters during the day. The critical level of the dangerous phenomenon for the city is 853 centimeters.
A state of emergency due to flooding in the Tyumen region was introduced on April 8. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as of Tuesday, 400 residential buildings, 345 country houses, 3,200 personal plots, 38 sections of roads remain flooded in the region.
