MOSCOW, May 10. Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova failed to exit into the third round of the WTA 1000 series tournament in Rome, the prize fund of which exceeds 4.7 million euros.
In the second round match, the Russian lost to Latvian representative Elena Ostapenko (9th seed) with a score of 4:6, 2:6. The duration of the match was 1 hour 37 minutes.
In the next round, Ostapenko will play against Spaniard Sara Sorribes-Tormo, who is ranked 47th in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings.
