Chery has launched the second model of its new subsidiary NEV brand Exlantix, the large ET crossover, for sale in China. Unlike the Exlantix ES platform electric sedan, the crossover is offered not only with electric, but also with a plug-in hybrid power plant of the range extender type, where the internal combustion engine is used as an electric range extender.
Last year, Chery decided to diversify the model range of the well-known premium brand Exeed in Russia and created a new NEV line, Sterra, within it. Let us remind you that the abbreviation NEV stands for New Energy Vehicle; it combines electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen vehicles. Outside of China, Exeed Sterra models will be sold under a separate Exlantix brand, with Russia becoming one of the first markets for it, sales should begin next summer.
