Jetour Dashing is preparing for restyling: photo without camouflage

The compact crossover will have its “face” redesigned. In addition, the model will get a more powerful base engine on the home market.

The Jetour Dashing SUV (the Jetour brand belongs to Chery) arrived in Russia last summer, and just a month ago it was registered at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. In China, the model has been available since 2022 – there, let us remind you, it is called Dasheng. So, soon they will offer an updated crossover in their homeland: a photo of such a five-door was added to the database of the Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China. By the way, the current Dashing/Dasheng has a rather impressive appearance, so it is possible that Jetour will still decide to position the modernized SUV not as a restyled model, but as a new version that will complement the range.

Be that as it may, the front part of the crossover will be redesigned, and it will be designed in the style of the Shanhai L6 hybrid, which was declassified in March (Shanghai is the electrified Jetour line with a separate emblem). In particular, Dashing will receive similar headlights. If we compare it with the current “traditional” SUV, the radiator grille (the hybrid has an almost smooth “nose”) and bumper will also be different, plus the rear lights will have a different filling. Compact foglights will be available for an additional fee.

The length of the Jetour Dashing with the new design is 4600 mm, which is 10 mm longer than the pre-reform cross. The remaining dimensions will remain the same: width – 1900 mm, height – 1685 mm, wheelbase – 2720 mm.

There are no full shots of the interior yet. It is quite possible that a new instrument panel and multimedia system will be installed inside. Well, they can also replace the finishing materials.

B The certificate currently only indicates the base 1.5 turbo engine, and it will become more powerful: its output will be 184 hp. versus 156 hp the current Jetour Dashing (in Chinese specification; in the Russian Federation, this engine produces 147 hp). The current crossover is also available with a 1.6 turbo engine producing 197 hp. (in the Russian Federation — 190 hp). There is no all-wheel drive either in China or in Russia — only front-wheel drive.

The modernized SUV should hit the home market this year. And in 2025, the Russian Jetour Dashing will also be updated. True, it is not a fact that the crossover intended for the Russian Federation will change in the same way.
