MOSCOW, May 14. Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov failed to exit to the quarterfinals of the Masters series tournament in Rome, the prize fund of which exceeds 7.8 million euros.
In the fourth round meeting, Khachanov (16th seed) lost to Chilean Alejandro Tabilo (29) with a score of 6:7 (5:7), 6:7 (10:12). The duration of the match was 2 hours 32 minutes.
Khachanov reached the fourth round of the tournament in Rome for the first time this season.
In the quarterfinals, the representative of Chile, who defeated the Serbian world number one Novak Djokovic in the third round, will play with the winner of the meeting between Thiago Monteiro (Brazil) and Zhang Zhizhen (China).
