A reserve military man saw off his wife and was in a hurry to cheer for CSKA
The conflict in which a reserve major general was recently wounded – he was shot by a slow taxi driver – happened because of a whole a number of reasons. The officer stood up for his wife, listened to the offender's complaints about the coat with the Z symbol, but admitted that all this could have been avoided if the driver had been a little more punctual.
As MK managed to find out, the incident occurred on the evening of May 11 near the entrance of one of the houses on Academician Anokhin Street. A 67-year-old reserve major general (a man who served in the Russian Armed Forces for 37 years and was in hot spots) went out to see his wife off around 21:00. The woman had recently broken her arm at the dacha and was not feeling well. The couple called a taxi to the children’s house – the Muscovite planned to spend the weekend visiting. The husband went downstairs in slippers and planned to quickly return, since his favorite football team CSKA was playing with Zenit. But the evening did not go according to plan from the very beginning: first the cab driver went in the opposite direction and was late. And when he arrived, he began to be rude.
“Not only did he not even apologize, but he also tried to let my wife out. I helped her sit in the back right seat, closed the door. And asked the driver, they say “Does he have a navigator, he answered that he does. Then I asked if he knew how to use it. Apparently, this really hurt him, and we started a verbal altercation,” the general told the police.
According to him, in the heat of a quarrel, the driver announced that he was canceling the order, which outraged the customer, who strongly expressed himself in the direction of the offender. After this, the taxi driver jumped out of the car with a pistol and shot at his opponent. The bullet hit the thigh of the left leg. As it turned out later, a raincoat made according to an army model from dense material saved him from serious injuries. Police officers who arrived at the scene detained the shooter – he turned out to be a 50-year-old native of Kabardino-Balkaria. He did not have a permit for a traumatic pistol. He stated that he found the weapon in 2022 in a taxi car.
