MOSCOW, May 13. Singer Lyubov Uspenskaya does not admit that she defamed Philip Kirkorov in an interview with blogger Alena Zhigalova, her lawyer said in the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow.
Today, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow began to essentially consider Kirkorov’s claim against Uspenskaya for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation for 10 million rubles. The reason was her interview with blogger Zhigalova, in which the artist was called a “misogynist.” Uspenskaya's representative said that they do not recognize the stated claims and consider them “illegal, unfounded and not subject to satisfaction.”

“My trustee claims that she did not provide any defamatory information in this interview,” said lawyer Elena Senina.

Senina asked the court to postpone consideration of the claim due to the fact that they did not know about the court hearing and the defendant did not have a statement of claim. However, the judge gave the parties the opportunity to express their positions.
Kirkorov’s representatives reported that they have an examination that confirms signs of defamatory information in Uspenskaya’s words.
Senina assured that by the next meeting the defendant’s side would provide all the necessary evidence that would refute the arguments of Kirkorov’s representatives.
< br />The judge asked the participants in the process to provide the technical component to listen to this interview. The next meeting will be held on June 6 at 11.00 Moscow time.

Earlier, Kirkorov’s lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky said that in the lawsuit they ask the court to oblige Uspenskaya to refute all the words “with which she tried to discredit the honor and dignity” of Kirkorov, to recover moral compensation in the amount of 10 million rubles, and also about 2 million in expenses.
At the same time, today in court it became known that at the moment we are talking about 10 million, the “expenses part” has not yet been reported to the court.
The lawsuit also includes Zen.Platform and VKontakte, on whose resources the interview was posted. The plaintiffs do not demand monetary compensation from them.
