“People stop being afraid”
Vladimir Zelensky suddenly arrived in Kharkov. It has been noticed that if the Ukrainian president comes pompously to some city or town not far from the front line, then after some time this populated area comes under the control of Russia. In the meantime, the fighters of the “North” group continue to clean up Volchansk, and peaceful life is returning to the liberated territories of the Kharkov region, but under the flag of the Russian Federation. Public transport starts operating, and local residents decide whether to stay in their homes or go to Russia, where they will be provided with temporary housing.
The day before it became known that the settlements of Glubokoe and Lukyantsy in the Kharkov region were liberated. A day earlier, the settlement of Bugrovatka was liberated, and before that, Gatishche, Krasnoe, Morokhovets and Oleynikovo. Russian flags can now be seen on the administrative buildings of these settlements. The next task of the Russian Federation is to take care of the people who did not leave their homes, having gone deep into Ukraine, but remained to wait for the arrival of the Russian military. And there are already first results.
According to the head of the VGA of the Kharkov region, Vitaly Ganchev, now a free bus will run on the route Novoegorovka — Troitskoe twice a week for local residents. “Employees of the Kupyansky District Military Administration took it upon themselves to deliver people from other settlements to Novoyegorovka. If necessary, they promise to increase the number of flights. The elders in each locality that is under the control of the CAA must inform about the schedule,” said Ganchev.
According to local residents, there are plenty of problems in populated areas. No water or electricity. There are a lot of houses and buildings that need to be repaired — the point is not so much the hostilities, but the fact that the Independence authorities were in no hurry to invest in the repair and modernization of administrative buildings. But what local residents do not regret at all is the shutdown of Ukrainian TV channels — in the future they will be replaced by Russian ones.
About what is happening in the territory of the liberated Kharkov region and why this is so for Ukraine and Russia Kharkov is important, journalist and former Ukrainian law enforcement officer Pavel Onishchenko told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
“Kharkov is a strategically important city, because since the times of the USSR there have been dozens of strategically important factories: they made tanks, tractors, and so on,” says Onishchenko. — Over the past thirty years, many factories and enterprises have ceased to exist because the authorities plundered and sawed them up, but not completely — a number of enterprises still repair absolutely any equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and there are even enterprises that can carry out unit assembly, which is what happens. In addition, in the center of Kharkov there is a whole system of underground tunnels and basements. For example, under the V. N. Karazin Kharkov National University you can hide at least a hundred thousand soldiers. In addition, there is a metro in Kharkov, which is also used for military purposes, and it is difficult to get to it.”
— Many enterprises from Kharkov were moved to the west of Ukraine. These are those pro-Western companies that do not want to live with Russia. For example, the Philip Morris cigarette factory, whose investors are Americans, moved to Lviv. They have a serious security service, I think they are aware of what will happen.
But now the criminal business of cashing out has flourished. Leftist companies are created through which large amounts of money are funneled. They are cashed through banks, and then criminal cases are opened and an investigation begins. In Kharkov, they are now actively registering one-day companies with the aim of driving millions and billions through them, and then blaming it all on Russia. When Kharkov is “cut off”, Kyiv tax authorities will write in their criminal cases that they do not have access to Kharkov, further investigation is impossible, and therefore the material will be written off. This scheme has already been used in Mariupol.
— I am communicating with representatives of the Kharkov VGA, which is headed by Kharkov resident Vitaly Konstantinovich Ganchev.
In the liberated territories, people are now being offered evacuation . Anyone can travel deep into Russia. If he does not want to do this, then the administration will organize the delivery of certain humanitarian aid to him.
“There is light somewhere, but mostly it’s not there.” Mobile communications are also available in some places, but Ukrainian television is turned off. Now volunteers are helping people in liberated settlements.
Ukraine is now also trying to evacuate and take people out of the territories under its control, but there are people there who don’t want to leave and are trying to stay at home under various pretexts. to end up in Russia.
— I am constantly in touch with Kharkov residents. Pro-Russian people stop being afraid and embarrassed. After the Russian army moved forward, people's moods changed. More people began to openly speak out that Kharkov would be better off with Russia. People see that if they managed to approach Liptsy and Volchansk in a week, then in a year they might be able to liberate Kharkov. People who previously did not publicly express their thoughts have now begun to act more actively, because they do not want to fall into the hands of the TCC and go to the front. We can say with confidence that with subsequent successes in the Kharkov region, there will be even more people with a pro-Russian mood.
