The Caddy Edition was the first to be launched, which will be offered in both passenger and commercial versions. Prices on the domestic market are already known.
The German manufacturer has been producing the Volkswagen Caddy model since 1980, the current fourth generation was introduced in 2020. Now the brand has refreshed its “heel”: yesterday the production of cars for the 2025 model year started at the plant in Poznan (Poland). At the same time, the Caddy Edition, which has a different design, was the first to be put on the production line.

In the new version, you can purchase both a passenger van and a van, both with a standard wheelbase and with an extended one. The Caddy Edition differs from the standard version only visually. Thus, the “heel” received a black roof, black roof rails and a “shark fin” antenna, corresponding exterior mirror housings, guides for sliding doors, stickers and inscriptions on the body.
Also in this color is a large air intake integrated into the lower part of the front bumper and part of the spoiler at the rear. This version was also equipped with sets of darkened wheels – 17 and 18 inches in size (available for an additional fee). For an additional fee, the 2025 Volkswagen Caddy can be equipped with an integrated panoramic sunroof.
All versions of the refreshed Caddy, including the Edition, will initially be offered with a 115 hp TSI petrol engine, which can be paired with either a manual transmission or an automatic transmission. The line also includes a pair of TDI diesel engines, their output is 102 and 122 hp; in the first case, a 6-speed manual gearbox is included in the kit, in the second — a seven-speed DSG robot. Other engine and gearbox options will appear later this year.
The company said that all variants of the 2025 Volkswagen Caddy received a virtual instrument panel (now included in the basic equipment), and passenger modifications were also equipped with a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. In the future, models will offer the IDA voice assistant as an option (it has the ChatGPT function in combination with VW Connect Plus).
The list of equipment of the refreshed Caddy includes cruise control, parking distance monitoring, as well as improved monitoring of driver attention and drowsiness. The vans are equipped with side airbags and curtains, a multifunction camera, a tire pressure monitoring system, a lane assistant and a warning function for pedestrians and cyclists. In addition, the Cargo now includes a multi-steering wheel as standard equipment, which is already available in passenger versions.
Prices on the domestic market are already known: for a van in the Caddy Edition version with a standard wheelbase in Germany they are asking no less than 28,680 euros, the extended version will cost at least 30,695 euros. A passenger van in a special version costs 30,920 euros (with a regular wheelbase) and 33,395 euros (with a “stretched” one).
