RDS Europe is gaining momentum! Next up is Ryazan

May 18-19 in Ryazan at the ATRON International circuit Circuit will host the second stage of RDS Europe 2024.

Last season, Ryazan hosted the first and sixth stages. It was here that in 2023 the fate of the championship title was decided. This time, the pilots will also demonstrate their skills twice in front of the fans: on May 18-19 and September 28-29, when at the final stage the strongest will be determined based on the results of the competition.

The configuration of the Ryazan track, which has become legendary for Russian drifting, keeps both participants and spectators in suspense from start to finish: drift cars rush literally millimeters from the famous concrete wall. At this point, it is not the engine power that decides, but the skill of control and the accuracy of the car settings.

    1/3 2/3 3/3

As at the first stage, which took place on April 13-14 at the Rostov Arena in Rostov-on-Don, spectators will see innovations – the riders of the RDS Europe series are divided into two qualifying groups: PRO and NXT. So in one stage on the spectacular and technical ATRON International Circuit there will be two finals, and therefore two winners!

After the first stage, the PRO classification is headed by the pilot of the LUKOIL Racing Drift Team Grigory Gusev, and his closest pursuer is Belarusian Kirill Matskevich, representative of TimeUp. In third place was the athlete of the “Zanosa Culture” team Ilya Polishchuk.

In the NXT standings group, Alexey Bakhvalov occupies the first line of the tournament table. Ilya Klyukin is chasing him, followed by Valery Nikulin. It is noteworthy that all three are competing in various variations of the BMW coupe.

A whole scattering of pilots has replenished the standings compared to the first stage: participants of the RDS GP and RDS Europe series have returned – Fedor Vorobyov and his Tsar Zhiga, Denis Kotelnikov, Mikhail Davidyants, Sergey Korneev, Alexander Andreadi and others.

A total of 53 will take to the start line in Ryazan pilots: 8 in the NXT classification group and 45 in the PRO classification group. If qualifying in NXT simply distributes riders across the grid, then in PRO, based on its results, the strongest 24 pilots will be determined who will compete in doubles on Sunday. The rest, alas, will have to prepare for the next stage, which, by the way, will take place in Kazan on June 8-9.

The second stage of RDS Europe 2024 promises to be extremely eventful with struggle, surprises and everything that we are for we love drift!
