VLADIVOSTOK, May 21. The Primorsky regional branch of the Yabloko party announced the initiation of a criminal case under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism against its deputy chairman Marina Zheleznyakova.
“A criminal case has been opened against the deputy chairman of the Primorye Yabloko, Marina Zheleznyakova, under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism for congratulating her on Victory Day. A search was carried out in Zheleznyakova’s apartment. Security forces seized equipment and documents. The civil activist learned about the criminal case opened on April 24 on the day of the search. A lawyer is working with her,” the party branch reports.
It is noted that the case was opened due to a congratulatory post made in 2021, where the investigation saw “the dissemination of deliberately false information about the activities of the USSR during the Second World War.”
Punishment under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism provides for up to three years in prison.
