MOSCOW, May 23. Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who led the team to their first European Cup trophy, will continue to work at the club, said Bergamo team president Antonio Percassi.
On Wednesday, Atalanta, for which Russian midfielder Alexey Miranchuk plays, defeated Bayer in the Europa League final with a score of 3:0 and won the first European Cup in its history. The current contract with the 66-year-old specialist runs until the end of June 2025.
““I have no doubt that Gasperini will remain with us. We will meet again and discuss this, but this trophy will help us continue our journey together,” Italian insider Fabrizio Romano quotes Percassi as saying on the social network X.
