MOSCOW, May 22. American screenwriter, producer and casting director Fred Roos died at the age of 89, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
According to media reports, he died at his home in Beverly Hills, California. The cause of the producer's death is not specified.
Rus was born in 1934 in Santa Monica. Began his career in casting in the 1960s. He was a family friend of the famous director Francis Ford Coppola and produced his films, including the second and third parts of The Godfather. In addition, Rus had a hand in the careers of many Hollywood celebrities. Among the most famous actors with whom Rus has worked are Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Nicolas Cage and Tom Cruise.
