MOSCOW, May 23, Sergei Fuks. Former CSKA football player Pontus Wernbloom, during his game in Russia, did not express dissatisfaction with his position, said the Swede’s ex-partner in the Moscow club, Serbian Zoran Tosic.
Previously, Wernbloom, in an interview with Aftonbladet, made a public apology for his performances with CSKA. He also said that his wife took the news of his move to Moscow in connection with his transfer to CSKA in 2012 as a death notice. In addition, the Swede compared the buildings at the army club base with “luxurious buildings from the Bolshevik era,” and called the local food “bland.” Tosic and Wernbloom played together for CSKA from 2012 to 2017.
“I have not read this interview, but I can say that he did not show dissatisfaction with his stay in Moscow. As long as I have known him, he is a very good football player and guy. It seems to me that in this situation his words were not translated very well. So far he was in the team, I didn’t notice on any day that he was dissatisfied. I only know his good opinion about Russian football and the team,” Tosic said.
