MOSCOW, May 24. Russian Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev in his On the official Telegram channel, he announced Russia’s readiness to host the Games of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries in the most popular sports, which will be held on a regular basis.
On Friday in Almaty, as part of the summit of sports ministers of the SCO countries, on the eve of a meeting of heads of ministries and departments responsible for the development of physical culture and sports, Degtyarev held a bilateral meeting with SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming.
“”It was proposed to create an industry working group on physical culture and sports. The SCO countries support this idea. We are working on its implementation. He also proposed holding regular SCO Sports Games in the most popular sports in our countries. Russia is ready to host these Games,” – Degtyarev wrote.

The SCO is an international organization founded in 2001. It involves India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Iran.
