George Galloway's party was forced to cancel its candidate selection after The Telegraph reported that he had promoted anti-Semitic material online.
Hassan Shaheen shared a video that contained claims that a «coven of Jews» had «seized» control of America and that Jews throughout history were punished for «killing Jesus Christ.»
Mr Shaheen, who was due to represent the Workers' Party of Great Britain in Putney, also praised the Hezbollah leader and shared a photograph describing Zionism as «a combination of dirt selected from different countries».
Other party candidates shared on the Internet with controversial materials, including equating Israel to the Nazis and calling Israelis “human parasites.”
Since returning to Parliament in the Rochdale by-election in February, Mr Galloway has unveiled hundreds of Workers' Party candidates who will be vying for seats across the country.
Earlier this month, Mr Shaheen posted on X his a photograph of him holding a Workers' Party rosette and shaking hands with a smiling Mr Galloway outside Parliament.
The Workers' Party X account posted a photograph with a comment on 8 May. : “Hassan is our brilliant candidate for Patni!”
On May 12, Mr. Shaheen posted a link to a TikTok video on X with the words: “The American people with a strong message to “American Jews.” «…Enough is enough, stop mourning your Holocaust so you can gain power in the Senate and Congress.»
The video in question is an anti-Semitic monologue that says Jews are involved in «harmful activities» , threats and influence peddling from positions of high power and influence» and that «Jews often use nepotism, bribery, bribery and blackmail to gain and maintain power.»
«We have a coven of Jews who have taken over the government and centers of power,” it says.
Highlighting people like Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, he continues: “Look at all these characters. They are Jews. They are everywhere in government.
“They dominate government, Hollywood, the mainstream media, the owners of big tech companies, top academia, big financial institutions, and own or control every major corporation that matters «.
It goes on to say that Jews have been expelled from countries throughout history «because their masters realized what we have just pointed out.»
It states that «no Jewish center of power in all history did not last more than 70 years,” claiming that it was “a curse for killing Jesus Christ and turning against God.”
“The Jews are already six years too late for the curse,” it says. “We all know this will happen. They've been cooked again, and they know it.»
Omitted
When The Telegraph contacted the Workers' Party, its spokesman said the video was «disgusting» and that he was «not an endorsed WPB candidate».
Mr Sahin told The Telegraph he was told the Workers' Party had sacked him on Thursday after The Telegraph contacted the party about his posts.
He said: “I posted a video of an American complaining about how they view the way Jews or Zionists control their politicians using the horrific crimes of the Holocaust against Jews as an excuse rather than my views and my relationship with the Jewish community here wonderful. «.
Another time, Mr. Shaheen shared a photo on which were the words: «Zionism is not a religion, it is a mixture of dirt selected from different countries and different religions.» In the accompanying comment he wrote: “Share if you agree.”
He also tweeted a photo of Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, calling him the «King of Hearts,» the «Leader of the Free Forces.» Peace» and «Champion of the Oppressed», and asking people to post a yellow heart emoji «If you support Sayed Hassan Nasrallah.»
Hezbollah is a banned terrorist group in the UK and its activities are illegal. offer them support.
When asked about the image, Mr Shaheen told The Telegraph that “Zionism is not a religion and millions of Jews oppose it and call it terrorism.”
p>He added: “As for what you call my praise of Hezbollah, which is considered a terrorist organization in the UK, you must understand that I come from the south of Lebanon, witnessed the brutal invasion of Israel in 1982, lived for eight years under occupation, in prison and under torture, and still bear the scars, and if not for the resistance, my country would not have been liberated,” he said.
He noted that “ Hezbollah» had representatives in the Lebanese parliament, and previously there were ministers in the government.
Comments of other candidates
Other Workers' Party candidates include Natalie Potter of Stockton West, who previously posted comments saying «Zionist Jews are evil» and claimed pro-Israel Jewish students at an American university were «Zionists, not real Jews.»
Earlier this month Ms Potter reacted to a photograph of an Israeli Eurovision entry with the words «human parasite». On another occasion, she responded to a post on X showing images of what was supposed to be a «Roman silver amulet with a grotesque face» but which bore a striking resemblance to grotesque anti-Semitic caricatures of the modern period.
The original poster read : “Oh my God, they didn’t even try to hide it. You can even see a kippah.»
Ms. Potter responded, «They are literally the ugliest people inside and out.»
Another candidate, Phil Bimpson for Wallasey, meanwhile responded to a tweet asking: “What would you like to take back?”, commenting: “Hanging for treason. Starmer and Sunak have sold out our country to the ZIONISTS, it's treason.»
Another time he posted a photo showing a swastika and an Israeli flag next to each other, with the words: «The Nazis are still around. Now they call themselves Zionists!”
A spokeswoman for the Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “The sheer number of rhetoric within the Workers' Party that violates the international definition of antisemitism is astonishing.”
“The Labor Party would do well to heed the findings of the EHRC report on antisemitism within the Labor Party, which sets out the legal standards to which political parties must adhere. It is clear that the Workers' Party must reconsider its support for any candidates who have previously shared anti-Semitic content, but we will not hold our breath.»
