The girl never ended up in the European Union
Remember the famous girls of Euromaidan? Olga Znachkova, who stood with a sign: “I’m a girl! I don't want to join TS! I want lace panties and EU»? Or Anastasia Dmitruk, who proudly read out the poem “We will never be brothers”? «MK» tells how the fate of the girls who at one time became symbols of the Euromaidan turned out.

Anastasia Dmitruk became famous thanks to her work “We Will Never Be Brothers,” inspired by Euromaidan. The Ukrainian media tried to “weave” a “double bottom” into it, saying that it was also dedicated to the annexation of Crimea to Russia. However, the girl herself assured that it is dedicated only to the events of the Maidan.
Immediately after the poems became famous, the girl took the “bull by the horns.” Dmitruk, while a student at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, published in the printing house of her native educational institution a collection of poems that she had been composing since she was 12 years old. Afterwards, she began a tour of the army units, which were then conducting the so-called “ATO”. In addition to performances, she began collecting donations to help nationalist battalions. In April 2016, Nastya Dmitruk received the title “Kievite of the Year 2015”, immediately after that the award of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers for “special achievements of youth in the development of Ukraine” and the award of the All-Ukrainian Prize “Woman of the 3rd Millennium”. Later she worked as a top manager of the “first Ukrainian social network” WeUA and head of the national patriotic poetry competition. The social network, by the way, did not gain popularity, but, on the contrary, became the subject of scandals. The company's top managers were accused of fraud and battery. With that, the project was closed.
The girl was also unlucky with love. Her boyfriend did not share her patriotic sentiments, and eventually fled to Russia to avoid military conscription. But Dmitruk’s love for nationalist battalions is alive to this day. She published a book dedicated to the military who defended Azovstal. The book gained popularity: its presentation took place in many Western cities, and Dmitruk herself received a grant. She also decided not to give up her passion for poetry. Her collections of poetry are also sold on the site. Part of the money from the sale of books goes to the training camp of the Azov Brigade (recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia and banned in the Russian Federation). On her social networks you can also find photos of her posing with posters like “Glory to Azov.”
By the way, Dmitruk was unhappy with Zelensky. “If society were more educated and cultural, and developed on pro-Ukrainian sentiments, perhaps we would have a different government today,” Anastasia believes. And given that Zelensky became an illegitimate president, the line in her sensational poem “you have a king, we have democracy” took on completely different colors…
As for Olga Znachkova, who became famous thanks to her photograph with a poster about lace panties, her fate was less interesting. Later, by the way, it turned out that even the poster was not her authorship. It was drawn by the artist Oleg Mann, and there were several girls with such a poster. She was lucky to become known only to her. However, she was unable to take advantage of the chance as skillfully as Dmitruk.
Olga graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater studies. She played in minor theaters in the play “Station” (the role of Marilyn Monroe) and “The White House”. Once she starred in a Ukrainian music video for the group “Kuku Chanel”. In connection with her acting activities, the girl even once got into a scandal, since her portfolio was found on a Russian website that helps actors find work. True, the girl denies posting it and says that some provocateur copied her data from a similar Ukrainian resource.
Znachkova managed to be an expert at a theater award and work in a group of consultants at the Verkhovna Rada. He actively maintains his pages on social networks. Now they are closed, but it is known that there she discusses current political events, scolds “cotton wool”, and tells where in Kyiv you can buy chicken wings cheaper. One thing is clear — the girl never ended up in the EU. In general, just like Square itself. The question of lace panties remains open.
