In the hierarchy of the Czech brand, this new product will take the place of an entry-level electric car. Its price on the European market will be about 25 thousand euros.
The Skoda brand, part of the Vokswagen concern, published its schedule for the appearance of new products in April last year. According to the plan, by 2026 the brand’s lineup will have six all-electric models. In addition, it is reported that by 2027, total investment in “green” cars will amount to a total of 5.6 billion euros. It is known that in 2025 a subcompact SUV will enter the European market, which will receive the working name Small.
Skoda Epiq Concept
So far, the future SUV is presented in concept status. It is already known that the new product (including the production version) will receive the name Epiq: it suits the current “green” family. Thus, the first letter of the name “E” indicates that the model belongs to electric vehicles, and the last “q” hints at the SUV segment. The name itself is a reference to the ancient Greek word epos, which means «epic».The company is still keeping the appearance of the production version of the Skoda Epiq secret; the designer of the Spanish publication Motor.es shared his version with us (created based on photographs of a prototype caught during road tests). Judging by the rendering, the product version will inherit some features of the concept, including the silhouette, the angle of the windshield, the design of the hood with stampings and a new logo in the form of the brand name on the edge.

However, the production Epiq may likely have a different, more familiar design for the lower part of the front bumper — with a trapezoidal air intake instead of eight vertical slits, the outermost of which are decorated in orange (the concept's exterior is a reference to the Skoda Vision 7S show car, which was presented in 2022). It is also assumed that the commercial SUV will have a different two-story head optics design: at the top, narrow stripes with strokes play the role of running lights, at the bottom — the main headlight units.
Unlike the concept, the production Skoda Epiq may “lose” the body kit made of unpainted plastic around the perimeter of the body, including the lining on the wheel arches. The artist left the new car with traditional exterior mirrors with black housings and turn signal repeaters, but instead of the usual door handles, he painted retractable ones located under the “rib” that runs from the hood line to the rear lights. The Epiq also does not have roof rails on the render.

It is known that the length of the subcompact crossover is 4.1 meters (about the same as the Fabia hatchback – 4108 mm). The interior of the serial Skoda Epiq, designed for five riders, has not yet been declassified. The concept has a luggage compartment volume of 490 liters. Inside the show car you can see a steering wheel with a truncated rim, a small virtual instrument panel, a touch screen for the multimedia system, a panel with physical buttons and a niche for wireless charging of smartphones in the central tunnel.
So far there is practically no information about the technology of the electric car; the manufacturer only said that the range on one charge of the Skoda Epiq will exceed 400 km. It is expected that the new product will share electric motors and traction batteries with its closest relatives – Volkswagen ID.2 and Cupra Raval; By the way, their serial versions have not yet been presented either. The starting price tag for Epiq on the European market will be about 25 thousand euros (equivalent to approximately 2.39 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
