MOSCOW, May 27. Artist Semyon Slepakov*, recognized as a foreign agent, appealed in cassation the refusal to remove this status from him, the press service of the Second Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction reported.
““The Second Cassation Court registered the cassation appeal of S.S. Slepakov*,” said the agency’s interlocutor. 
The court date has not been set.
Slepakov* was recognized as a foreign agent in April 2023. According to the department, he received support from foreign sources, formed a negative attitude towards military service and public service in general, and spoke negatively about Russian citizens. Lives in Israel.
The artist filed a lawsuit with the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow against the Ministry of Justice demanding that he be removed from the register, but to no avail. The appeal upheld the decision.
In addition, Slepakov* faces the first fine for failure to indicate the marking of a foreign agent in publications on the Internet. The protocol was received by the Tagansky District Court.
