The new product of the American brand, already presented in China, will compete for customers with the Audi Q4 e-tron and BMW iX3.
At the beginning of this month it became known that the Cadillac brand, owned by the American concern General Motors, decided to keep models with internal combustion engines in its line longer. However, the manufacturer does not intend to slow down the pace of greening. Let us remind you that the Lyriq crossover was the first-born among the brand’s “electric trains”, later the Celestiq liftback appeared, and the third model was the flagship SUV Escalade IQ. Last November, the Optiq SUV was officially announced, and in December, a three-row SUV called Vistiq.

Recall that the Cadillac Optiq was initially presented as a global model, its official presentation took place at the Beijing Motor Show. The new product has already gone on sale, but so far only in one market – in China. Now the company has announced that Optiq is expanding its geography — the model is going to join the brand’s lineup in the USA and Europe later this year.
Competitors are tipped to compete with the new all-electric crossovers Audi Q4 e-tron and BMW iX3. The price that Optiq will be given on the European market has not yet been announced. However, for the American market, the company has already indicated the approximate starting price: purchasing an SUV will cost at least 54 thousand dollars (equivalent to approximately 4.84 million rubles at the current exchange rate). For comparison, the Audi Q4 e-tron in the States costs 55.2 thousand dollars (about 4.94 million rubles).
Recall that the Cadillac Optiq is an entry-level “green” SUV and is one step below the Lyriq in the brand hierarchy. The global SUV is equipped with a dual-motor power plant (one electric motor on each axle), the total output of which is 304 hp and its maximum torque is 479 Nm.

The range on one charge according to the passport is 483 km (when calculated according to the EPA cycle used in the States). The company said that when using a DC fast charger, the Optiq can be charged in 10 minutes for a journey of up to 127 km.
