MOSCOW, May 28Canadian-American producer Albert Ruddy, who won two Oscars for the films “The Godfather” and “Million Dollar Baby,” has died at the age of 94 , reports Deadline, citing a family representative.
“Albert Ruddy, who received two Oscars for producing the films “The Godfather” and “Million Dollar Baby”… died on May 25 at the Ronald Reagan University of California Medical Center after a short illness,” the portal reports. with reference to a representative of the producer's family.
As the portal writes, Ruddy was one of nine producers who have ever received two or more Oscars for best pictures, with the longest interval between awards being 32 years. Ruddy is also known for his work on the TV series Walker, Texas Ranger, starring Chuck Norris.
According to the portal, Ruddy’s last production work on the big screen was the western directed by American director Clint Eastwood “Cry Macho”, released in 2021.
