Crossover KGM Torres EVX from the former SsangYong turned into a van

The transformation of an electric SUV into a Van truck followed the same scenario as its gasoline counterpart. All the filling remains the same.

Last year, KG Mobility (KGM, former SsangYong) introduced a cargo modification of its Torres gasoline SUV to the home market. And now a similar version with the Van prefix has appeared in the electric version of Torres EVX. Let us remind you that the 4.7-meter-long electric crossover debuted in the same 2023 (the model with an internal combustion engine went on sale a year earlier), it has its own exterior design. By the way, before five-doors were also different from the inside, but more recently the petrol Torres acquired an interior similar to that of an electric car.

The KGM Torres EVX Van is made from the same standard recipe as the Torres Van. The second row of seats was removed and a partition was installed behind the front seats. In addition, metal bars have appeared on the rear door windows.

It is reported that the volume of the resulting compartment in the electric van is 1462 liters. It is curious that the trunk of the standard Torres EVX with the second row of seats folded down holds more: the passport figure is 1662 liters. The electric Van can carry a load weighing 300 kg. The list of standard equipment includes eight airbags and adaptive cruise control.

The equipment has been transferred from the usual KGM Torres EVX: it has a 207-horsepower electric motor (located on the front axle) and a battery with a capacity of 73.4 kWh. At the same time, the van will be able to travel up to 411 km on one charge, while the maximum range of 433 km is declared for the passenger electric car.

The price of the KGM Torres EVX Van starts at 44.38 million won (excluding benefits), which is equivalent to approximately 2.9 million rubles at the current exchange rate. The petrol KGM Torres Van (1.5T) costs from 26.66 million won (about 1.73 million rubles).
