KRASNODAR, May 30. Investigators opened a criminal case after the death of an employee of the patrol service of the Krasnodar department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of a gunshot wound inflicted on him by a man who was stopped to check documents , reported the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Kuban.

According to the investigation, on Thursday afternoon, officers of the patrol service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Krasnodar noticed a suspicious man in a forest plantation near the village of Vodniki, who, upon seeing the police, tried to escape. Law enforcement officers stopped him to check his documents. At that moment, the defendant pulled out a weapon and shot the policeman in the stomach. The illegal actions were stopped by the victim’s partner. An emergency medical team was called to the scene. The victim was hospitalized, but died as a result of his injury.
