Leeds United insist its name and badge will remain unchanged following Red Bull's investment in the club, which will see the energy drink company gain «new commercial revenue» and a sponsorship package.
The Championship club, which missed out on promotion to the Premier League at the weekend, announced that Red Bull was buying a minority stake in its first venture into English football.
Red Bull has placed its brand in the official names of Salzburg and New York among the teams it owns, but RB Leipzig uses initials because German football does not allow clubs to be named after companies.
And Leeds will have Red Bull at strip for next season and branding adorning Elland Road and seen during media appearances, the club was adamant in its statement announcing the merger that «the name and logo of Leeds United Football Club will remain unchanged.»
