MOSCOW, June 14 Forward Vadim Shipachev has left Ak Bars as a result of a trade and moved to Dynamo Minsk, the official Telegram channel of the Kazan club of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) reported.
Shipachev moved to the Kazan club in 2022. The 37-year-old hockey player's contract was calculated until the end of the 2024/25 season. In return, Ak Bars received monetary compensation.
He is the best assistant in the history of the KHL, with 631 assists and 289 goals. He also represented Moscow Dynamo, St. Petersburg SKA, with which he won the Gagarin Cup twice, and Cherepovets Severstal. In the National Hockey League, he played for the Vegas Golden Knights.
Ak Bars ended its performance in the first round of the Gagarin Cup last season after losing the series to Yekaterinburg Avtomobilist with a score of 1-4.
