MOSCOW, June 28 The defense of the husband of “marathon queen” Elena Blinovskaya, Alexei Blinovsky, sent a petition to the Investigative Committee of Russia to stop the search for him, said lawyer Yulia Novichkova.
“We filed a petition to stop the search,” said Novichkova. According to her, the petition may be considered by the investigator as early as next week.
< br />Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Internal Affairs had put Blinovsky on the wanted list. A source in law enforcement agencies said that Blinovsky was put on the wanted list due to the fact that he did not appear before the investigator and did not familiarize himself with the case materials.
The Blinovsky couple are accused of concealing 906 million rubles from the tax authorities, 706 of which were illegally legalized. The Investigative Committee accuses Blinovsky of complicity in tax evasion and money laundering on a particularly large scale.
On Friday, it became known from Blinovsky’s colleague, lawyer Elman Pashayev, that Blinovsky had been transferred to an assault unit and was participating in the battles near Krasnogorovka.< br />Blinovsky is in the Northern Military District zone, he is participating in a special operation under the call sign “Brix,” Pashayev reported in mid-April, explaining that their unit is engaged in quadcopters and electronic warfare. At the same time, at the end of May, an informed source reported that Blinovsky is in his unit in the Northern Military District zone, but does not appear at his duty station and does not perform any tasks.
