The series «The Word of a Boy» received a special prize of the Nika award

MOSCOW, July 1A special prize for achievements in television cinema from the Nika Award went to the series “The Boy’s Word,” announced Honored Artist of the RSFSR Leonid Kanevsky.
“»You made a real, tough, honest film. Amazing So, with a clear conscience, I am presenting you with this wonderful prize,” Kanevsky said at the ceremony.

He recalled that in 1971 he played the role of an investigator in the TV series “The Investigation is Conducted by Experts” and addressed the creators and cast of “The Boy’s Word «with parting words for working on the second season.

Premiere episodes of the series «The Boy's Word. Blood on the Asphalt», starring Ruzil Minekaev, Ivan Yankovsky and Sergei Burunov, was released in the Wink and Start online cinemas on November 9.
The series tells the story of youth criminal gangs against the backdrop of perestroika.
National Film Award » Nika» was established in 1987 by the secretariat of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR. The winners are determined by secret voting of members of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and receive a prize statuette of the winged ancient Greek goddess Nike.
