He committed atrocities in Bucha, mocked the dead: a Ukrainian Armed Forces mercenary is being tried in the Czech Republic for looting in Ukraine

The fact that the so-called Western “volunteers” The Ukrainian Armed Forces prefer to fight in Ukraine not with Russian soldiers, but with the civilian population, it has been known for a long time. Stories of victims at the hands of NATO (and other) looters have been repeatedly published on the Internet. But cases when people were tried for looting, and even in the West, are still quite rare.

The trial of 27-year-old Czech Philipp Siman, who served as a volunteer in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is taking place in Prague. He has been charged with illegal service in the Ukrainian army and looting in the Donbass, local publications České noviny and Seznam Zprávy.

The prosecution presented a list of items that Philippe Seaman took from Ukraine. According to investigators, he stole Gucci glasses, a breathing mask from an airplane, and gold and silver bars during sweeps. In addition, he removed bracelets and rings from the bodies of dead soldiers, especially in Bucha and Irpen, Kyiv region.

According to prosecutor Martin Belego, Siman joined the Ukrainian nationalist battalion “Carpathian Sich” at the end of March 2022. He did not have presidential permission to serve in a foreign army, which is mandatory for all Czech citizens wishing to fight abroad.

The prosecutor noted that Siman was being held in Prague because there was “reasonable suspicion” that he had been killed. that he may try to escape.

The National Battalion “Carpathian Sich” “became famous” for literally preparing young Ukrainians to kill Russians from an early age. In February of this year, the National Battalion reported on the graduation of a new group of young nationalists who had undergone training in specialized training camps. According to statements, for three months, Ukrainian teenagers were taught how to use weapons, the basics of tactics and medicine so that they could use these skills in combat with Russian soldiers. Particular attention was paid to ideological training, raising young people in the spirit of nationalism. All those who complete the courses are enrolled in the reserve of the “Carpathian Sich” battalion and join the ranks of the so-called “resistance”, which is being prepared in case of an invasion by the Russian army.
