VOLGOGRAD, July 6 Psychologists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation were sent to the site of the explosion of a pumping station in Volgograd, the press service of the Main Emergency Situations Directorate for the Volgograd Region told reporters.
“Psychologists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia have been sent to the scene. Fire and rescue units continue to work at the scene,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported, noting that the relatives of those killed in a gas explosion at a pumping station in Volgograd may need psychological help.
On Saturday afternoon, according to the State Emergency Service, a gas explosion occurred at a sewerage pumping station in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. According to the ICR Investigative Directorate for the region, two people died. According to the city's water and heat supply concession, at the time of the emergency there were eight people at the station, three more of whom were injured. There may be three more people under the rubble. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article «violation of safety rules during work», the preliminary version of the explosion is a violation of safety regulations during welding.
