IRKUTSK, July 7. On Sunday, three teenagers drowned in the Irkutsk region: a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy drowned in the Chuna River, another teenager born in 2009 drowned in the Zima River, reports the RF SUSK for the region.
«In the Chunsky district, in the village of Vesyoly on the Chuna River near the bridge, two minors drowned. Local residents tried to find a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy in the water, but to no avail,» the report says.
< br />It is specified that when the girl began to drown, the boy tried to save her, but the children were unable to swim out. The depth at the scene is up to three meters, there is a strong current, there are large boulders at the bottom, the water is muddy. A search is underway for the bodies of the minors.
Another tragedy occurred in the city of Zima, where a teenager born in 2009 drowned in the Zima River on Sunday. “The boy entered the water, slipped and was carried away by the current. Eyewitnesses were unable to save the teenager,” the department said in a statement.
The Investigative Committee in the Chunsky and Ziminsky districts is conducting checks on the incidents.
