Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the statement by GUR Chief Kirill Budanov (included in Russia's list of terrorists and extremists) that Kyiv had attempted to assassinate Vladimir Putin.

«All threats from the Kyiv regime are obvious. Therefore, the security of the first person is ensured at the proper level,» the Shot Telegram channel quotes Dmitry Peskov as saying.

Recall that Budanov had previously admitted that Ukrainian special services had attempted to assassinate the Russian president. «They did happen, but, as you can see, they have also been unsuccessful so far,» the Ukrainian publication Strana quotes Budanov as saying.
