ST. PETERSBURG, July 31 A fifteen-year-old schoolgirl, accused of murdering a seventh-grader in St. Petersburg along with a 16-year-old teenager for her own self-affirmation, was sentenced to 6 and 7 years in an educational institution colony, respectively, reports the joint press service of the city courts.
“»The Vyborg District Court of St. Petersburg announced the verdict in relation to minors found guilty of committing crimes under paragraph 3 of Article 158 (Theft), paragraphs v,g, part 2 of Article 105 ( Murder of a minor committed by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The court imposed punishment: T. — 7 years in a correctional colony, R. — 6 years in a correctional colony,» the press service reported.
Earlier, the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg informed about the detention of a 16-year-old teenager and his 15-year-old girlfriend on suspicion of murdering a friend of a seventh-grader “for their own self-affirmation.” According to investigators, the accomplices previously dug an impromptu grave in the forest near the village of Pargolovo and on April 30, 2023, allegedly invited the girl to a picnic, where the teenager beat her with a hammer, then buried the body. A law enforcement source reported that the girl filmed the murder in close-up. The teenagers also took the victim’s mobile phone.
