SEVASTOPOL, July 30 The museum and temple complex «New Chersonesos» as an object of visitation is difficult to compare with anything, every tourist traveling to Crimea will strive to visit it, said the speaker of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov.
«Crimea has received an incredibly powerful project, it has colossal practical significance. I am not talking about its sacred, philosophical meaning, but simply as an object of visiting it is difficult to compare with anything. Because in terms of scale, investment capacity, of course, it beats all this. And everyone who came to Crimea for a vacation will plan to visit it. And this is very important,» Konstantinov said. 
The new museum and park complex «New Chersonesus» opened for visitors in Sevastopol for the first time on Tuesday at 08:00 Moscow time. The complex began operating in test mode, but visitors can walk around its entire territory. Of the three main museums, the Crimea and Novorossiya Museum opened at 10:00, the other museums will open later.
The museum complex «New Chersonesos», which includes three museums dedicated to Christianity, antiquity and Byzantium, as well as Crimea and Novorossiya, parks and fountains, the restored Geroon River with embankments and lakes, a reconstructed quarter of ancient Chersonesos, was built next to the historical Chersonesos in less than two years. The complex is designed for simultaneous visits of 50 thousand people.
On July 28, a solemn ceremony of consecration of the complex took place, on this day a large religious procession took place, and the St. Vladimir Cathedral opened after restoration. On the same day, a new monument to the baptizer of Rus, Prince Vladimir, was unveiled.
To enter, you must register on the website khersones.rf, visiting the complex is free. A fee will be charged for entry to museums, while residents of Crimea and Sevastopol will be granted discounts.
